This adaptive cross-country ski program is for youth ages 4 - 17 with cognitive and intellectual disabilities. We are providing adaptive teaching and instruction techniques as needed. We recognize that each individual has different needs, so don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or equipment modification requests.
This is a six-week program focused on individualized skill progression for your child. We’ll determine any adaptive equipment needs and set individual goals and objectives for the season. Each week, your child will be placed into a small group (typically one instructor with two participants) with the ability to move to a 1:1 ratio for specific skill work as needed. We’ll play games, explore the backwaters, and work to get comfortable on skis by the end of the season!
This program is sponsored by Celanese through our corporate partners program and funded by the BK5K Youth Fund of the Winona Community Foundation.
