The Winona Outdoor Collaborative is hosting a community Gear Swap event at Basecamp Provisions on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 9am-3pm as part of the larger 100 Mile Garage Sale.
Are you looking for good quality outdoor gear and clothing? Shop for gently used backpacking, camping, paddling, and climbing gear - brands like Columbia, Duluth Trading Co, Patagonia, and more! We’ll also be hosting a donation-based “fix-it” station to help the community learn more about how to repair gear.

Friday, May 5th, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Drop your gear off for the sale on Saturday (Donations also accepted!)

Saturday, May 6th, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Gear Swap event with a donation-based repair station (all gear - jackets, tents, bikes, etc.)
Are you looking to sell some of your gently used outdoor gear and clothing? Let us take the hassle out of selling your gear by dropping it off at our shop the evening before or the morning of the sale. We will also accept gear donations, with the proceeds going directly towards our Annual Campaign fundraiser. Here is what you can expect out of the event:
Collect your gently used or new gear or outdoor clothing and head down to BaseCamp Provisions at 4110 W 5th Street, Winona, MN, 55987. Collection times are Friday, May 5 from 4 - 6 pm or Saturday, May 6 from 8 - 9 am.
When you arrive, a WOC staff member will fill out an intake form with you, noting which equipment you brought to the gear swap and collecting your contact information. To sell gear, there is a $3/item charge with a maximum charge of $18/household. If you would prefer to donate your gear to the gear swap, you will receive a tax receipt for the estimated total value of the gear.
From there, your items will be inspected and priced by a WOC staff member and added to the gear swap inventory. All equipment is tagged with a number that is associated with your intake form so we can properly provide payment for items following the gear swap.
As customers shop and purchase items, WOC staff members will match all sold items with the proper intake form. Payments will be mailed within two weeks of the Gear Swap for any items of yours that were sold.
After the gear swap, anyone who has items left in the swap that DID NOT sell will be contacted with a deadline to pick up their gear. If gear is not picked up by this date, it will be donated to BaseCamp Provision's Driftless Thrift.
Are you a local business interested in tabling this event? We are looking for fellow outdoor organizations who support breaking down barriers to outdoor recreation. Table alongside our event to sell your merchandise, meet other likeminded organizations, and share your mission with the Winona community. There is a $25 fee for non-profits and $40 fee for all other businesses. The proceeds go directly towards our Annual Campaign fundraiser.
